CNC milling machines use cutting tools to remove material from a workpiece and shape
it precisely according to desired specifications. The workpiece is usually fixed in place, and
a high-speed rotating cutting tool removes material layer by layer.
CNC milling machines can be equipped with a wide range of cutting tools, each with a different shape: cylindrical-face cutters (end mills), reamers, cylindrical-face mills, taps, drills, and others. These machines can have a vertical or horizontal design.
